Cultural Happenings In The DC Area
Mary Chapin Carpenter is coming to the Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna on August 18 at 8 p.m., just fifteen minutes from Arlington. The award winning country star has recently released her 13th album. Be sure to get your tickets before it sells out!
DC Events For A Good Cause
The Swaliga Benefit Concert will present a live show and documentary on August 11 at 7 p.m. at Source DC just ten minutes from Dupont Circle. The performance will include the works of young artists in dance, music, art, photography and more. The Swaliga Foundation is a creative arts foundation geared toward supporting young, aspiring artists through education and mentorship. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
Grand Central in Adams Morgan will hold a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis on August 25 at 7:00. Gary’s Gang will host the event, where you can purchase wristbands at the door and receive drink specials. Gary’s Gang involves the supporters of Gary Smith, who was diagnosed with MS in 2010.
