Ritz-Carlton West End | Market Pulse | June 2022

Synonymous with world-class hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton West End combines a hotel and condominiums into one full-service luxury package. Located in Washington, DC’s West End neighborhood, the complex includes two condo towers that flank a central hotel component, along with a courtyard with waterfall, street level businesses and numerous amenities.

There were multiple new listings in July, beginning with a truly stunning penthouse. Unit #PH3E is offered at $7,500,000 and features 5,112 square feet of sublime living space spread out over two levels. The crowning touch is a large private rooftop terrace with 360-degree skyline views. There are three bedrooms, 5.5 baths, a huge open living area that extends to a spacious dining room, and a lovely library with floor-to-ceiling windows. The gourmet kitchen with its professional grade appliances is fit for a chef, and the private owner’s suite is serene and relaxing with its own private balcony and two giant walk-in closet/dressing rooms.

Unit #3L came to market in July with an asking price of $1,500,000. The oversized one-bedroom, 1.5-bath residence has 1,004 square feet of space. The tour begins with a large foyer that acts as an organic hub to the elegant layout. A large gourmet kitchen is just the place to socialize as meals are prepared with stainless steel appliances including a Viking gas range. There’s a fireplace in the living room, and a formal dining room for sit-down meals.

Still available after listing in June is Unit #8E. The elegant three-bedroom, 3.5-bath apartment with 3,096 square feet of living space is being offered at $3,800,000. With a large foyer, a giant open living and dining area, a family room, and huge windows, this spacious residence is both comfortable and luxurious. Also notable is the oversized kitchen.

Unit #8C also listed in June with an asking price of $1,695,000. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo has a roomy 1,846 square foot layout with a huge living room, an adjacent formal dining room, and two private balconies. Other features include Brazilian cherry herringbone floors, a large gourmet kitchen with recessed appliances, and marble baths.

Unit #5C remains active with a list price of $1,795,000. The 1,846 square foot floorplan includes two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The main living area is quite large, with wraparound full-height windows. There’s ample room for a dining table as well as living room furniture, thus leaving the adjacent formal dining room free to use as a work-from-home office or family room if you so choose.

There was one sale in July. Unit #8J closed at $643,785 after listing for $679,000. The 771 square foot one-bedroom one-bath flat had recently been renovated with wide plank hardwood floors, updated HVAC, and dramatic custom wall treatments in the dining area. The residence enjoys huge windows and south-facing views of the courtyard.

Unit #PH3A remains temporarily off the market. The stunning two-level penthouse had listed at $4,995,000 reflecting a reduction from its previous price of $5,495,000. The spectacular residence boasts 3,250 square feet of living space, huge windows on three sides, a front gallery, two bedrooms including a stunning owners’ suite, and an upstairs family room leading out to a 2,000 square foot terrace. We’ll keep an eye on the status of this one.

Also, temporarily off the market after listing in June is Unit #6G. The renovated apartment had been priced at $1,295,000 with 1,147 square feet of living space including two bedrooms and two full baths. A refreshed kitchen includes Viking, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances. The spacious primary bedroom suite boasts custom built-ins, a lovely ensuite bath, and access to an extended balcony that is also accessible through the main living area.

Residents The Ritz-Carlton West End enjoy options for housekeeping, room service and even private chefs. There’s also fully staffed front desk and concierge and priority access to Equinox Sports Club with its heated swimming pool. Street level businesses include CVS, Sweetgreen and SoulCycle.
