Home to 87 industrial-chic residences, the Wooster and Mercer Lofts is one of the most sought after condo communities in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. The two-building complex is located on Clarendon Boulevard and extends south along the two parallel streets of Queen and Pierce. Designed by Cunningham | Quill Architects for Abdo Development, the project was completed in 2007. One building is the Wooster, and other the Mercer, with retro brick warehouse exteriors that are modern and airy inside. Finishes are quite impressive, with massive window walls, soaring ceilings, and 140-year-old brick accents from the former Little Sisters of the Poor convent on Capitol Hill. Condo owners are usually reluctant to sell their units, and new listings always attract attention.

As of this reporting, there is one active listing at Wooster and Mercer. Priced at $899,900, Unit #W106 is a very large one-bedroom, one-bath residence with 1,396 square feet of living space. The main living, dining, and cooking area measures 22 by 32 square feet with 10-foot ceilings. Huge windows allow plenty of natural light inside, with exposed overhead ductwork and hanging factory lights adding to the ambience. This is an upper level duplex loft unit, with two baths, a second-story open loft area, and 1,768 square feet of living space. The corner unit has towering ceilings, arched top windows, and floating spiral stairs. There is also a 900 square foot private terrace, as well as a 75-foot wraparound balcony. Two assigned garage parking spaces were included in the transaction.

There has been just one other closing in 2024, with Unit #M204, selling in February for $1,263,000.
