The Ritz-Carlton West End has a well-deserved reputation for lap-of-luxury living. The U-shaped complex in D.C.’s West End neighborhood features a hotel that also serves as the central connector to two 11-story condominium towers. There are amenities galore as well as beautifully designed modern flats, duplexes and penthouses.
Not surprisingly, new listings can be rare. Only one residence came on the market in August: Unit 8F has herringbone hardwoods, floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace, one bedroom, a den and two full baths, all set in a roomy 978 square feet. The asking price is $849,000 ($868 per square foot).
There are only five available units out of 162 total condos. The most expensive is #PH3E, a remarkable penthouse spanning 5,112 square feet with list figure of $7,200,000. That’s $1,408 per square foot! The two-story home also has a private outdoor terrace that adds another 4,000-plus square feet for entertaining.
Also notable is #PH2B, a tri-level penthouse with 3,200 square feet of living space and an additional 1,500 square-foot private terrace. With 3-bedrooms and 3.5 baths, this glamorous city home is listed at $3,700,000.
