Modern Living at Wooster and Mercer Lofts

Wooster and Mercer Lofts | Market Pulse | June 2019

There are few condominiums in Washington Metro more popular than The Wooster and Mercer Lofts. Located in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood, the seven-story brownstone complex combines modern industrial chic with retro accents, such as 140 year-old bricks from the defunct Children’s Museum in DC that now provide interior accents. Developed by Abdo and delivered in 2007, Wooster & Mercer is home to 87 luxury residences.

The immense popularity of Wooster and Mercer has one major downside for hopeful condo shoppers—the complex has a notoriously low turnover. This was especially true in June (as well as May) with no available units to pine over.

The only activity of note at this trendy address during the month of June was a solitary closing. Unit #M202 went under contract April 6 and closed exactly two months later. Originally listed at $1,399,000, the stunning two-level loft ultimately closed at $1,340,000. Soaring ceilings, huge banks of two-story factory style windows, exposed ductwork, floating iron stairs and accent bricks add to the appeal. Toss in the gorgeous hardwood floors, beautiful upstairs bedrooms and family area, luxurious spa-type baths and French doors opening to a private patio, and you begin to understand why real estate buyers flock to the Wooster & Mercer.

You can find Wooster and Mercer at 1600 Clarendon Boulevard. While it is considered to be part of the Rosslyn community, the complex is also close to the Court House border. That means upscale shops and restaurants galore! Residents at Wooster and Mercer enjoy a swimming pool, fitness center, club room, staffed front desk, secure parking and a dog park.
