City Center - Washington DC's Hottest New Development

City Center | Market Pulse | July 2019

CityCenterDC covers 10 prime acres in Downtown DC’s Mount Vernon neighborhood. The condominium component is located in two glass and steel high-rises known as the Residences at CityCenter. The super popular live-work-play community also includes luxury apartment rentals, offices, hotels, shops and restaurants and a lovely park!

The allure of CityCenter can sometimes affect the active inventory of condos. Such was the case in July with no new listings. However, there are still some available properties. A case in point is Unit #1103, a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath penthouse currently listed at $2,950,000 (down for its high of $3.2 million). The elongated residence with 1,700 square feet of living space features a 1,010 square foot private sky terrace, a master bedroom at one end and second bedroom suite at the other.

Unit #410 was relisted in June. The spacious 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath flat has two balconies and two deeded parking spots. With 1,452 square feet of living space, this bright and open apartment has floor-to-ceiling windows, wide-plank hardwood floors and a kitchen that is recessed into a wall of Molteni cabinets. Overlooking 9th Street NW, the condo is offered at $1,480,000.

Unit #609 is also still active. This impressive contemporary apartment has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,210 square feet of space. The price was recently dropped from $1,224,900 down to $1,194,900. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the interior courtyard and landscaped roofs, while a Foster + Partners kitchen with extra-long breakfast bar adds a sublime touch. Also worth mentioning are the blonde hardwoods, floating Caesarstone double-sink vanities and custom closet organizers.

Another unit still up for grabs is #403. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath flat with 858 square feet of room has a clean, minimalist style with a glossy white-on-white modern kitchen, recessed stainless steel appliances, office cubby, pale ultra-wide hardwoods and an extended 96 square-foot balcony. The asking price is $825,000.

Rounding out the available condos is Unit #1006. The super cute and competitively priced flat is offered at $699,900 and comes with 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 772 square feet of interior space. There’s also a fun office nook and sliders to an extra-wide balcony. This white-on-white condo has Molteni cabs that match the pale floors as well as a separate powder room off the bath.

Unit #713 is currently pending with a closing scheduled for August. With 940 square feet of living space, this very roomy condo has a single extra-large bedroom with a sun-drenched sitting bay next to the floor-to-ceiling windows. The living room includes a dining area, while the extended modern kitchen while an office nook is off the hallway. The asking price was $829,900.

There was one closing at CityCenter in July. Unit #416 features 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and 1,209 square feet of living space. Other attributes include extra-wide plank floors throughout, uninterrupted window walls, an immaculate kitchen with Molteni cabs and caesarstone counters, and sliders leading out to a private patio. Listed at $1,165,000, the condo sold for $1,125,000.

Amenities at the Residences at CityCenter include 24/7 front desk, concierge and porter service as well as a bar lounge, roof gardens, a water feature, fitness center and spa, outdoor kitchens and an executive center. The larger CityCenterDC community offers all of life’s other requirements, such as 30 restaurants and retailers. Once you step beyond the grounds, the best of Downtown DC awaits with too many landmarks, shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues to list in a paragraph! Also, transit convenience abounds with the Metro Center and Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro each a block away.
