Located near the banks of the Potomac River in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood is The Waterview, a sublime combination of full service condominium and hotel. More specifically, Le Meridien Hotel occupies the lower portion with luxury residences for sale ascending from the 14th through 30th floors. This address is quite popular which often results in a shortage of active listings.
The only new listing in July was Unit #2110, a nifty 1-bedroom, 1-bath flat with den and 833 square feet of living space. With an asking price of $759,900, this unit has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing natural light to flood the blonde hardwood floors. The only other available condo at The Waterview in July was Unit #2803. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment with 1,475 square feet of room is listed at $1,189,000, down from the original $1.2 million. The combination of dark hardwood floors throughout and an open kitchen with matching cabinets, marble counters and stainless steel appliances provides a dramatic ambience. Bonus points for the stylish modern baths and river views for this chic abode.
While there were no new pendings in July, there was one closing: Unit #2004. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath with 570 square feet of space listed for just $479,000 and closed for $472,000. That’s quite a deal for an apartment at The Waterview. The super-cute flat maximizes space with an open kitchen set into a single wall without a breakfast bar or island to intrude on floor space. Light hardwoods and giant windows add to a surprisingly roomy effect.
Also worth noting, Unit #1907 has been withdrawn. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath residence with 1,232 square feet of space boasts solid wide-plank hardwood floors, a gorgeous blonde kitchen with black granite counters and floor-to-ceiling window walls offering stunning views. We’ll keep tabs to see what develops with this property.
Among the perks at The Waterview are options for maid and room service. The building also has front desk and concierge service, a roof deck with spectacular views and outdoor kitchens, a fitness center, health center, community room and secure parking. While residents enjoy secure parking, there’s also the Rosslyn Metro just a couple blocks away. Rosslyn is the gateway to Arlington with Metro stops in each of the trendy villages along the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor.
