The highest price per square foot honors in October also happens to be the highest overall sales price. Unit #9J at 22 West in the West End neighborhood is a very stylish duplex penthouse with 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,650 square feet of space. The contemporary residence sold as a private listing at its full price of $2,080,000, translating into a robust $1,260.61 per square foot. The second highest price per square foot is also the third highest sales price in October. Unit #512 at 2501 M in the West End with 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and 1,340 square feet of space sold for $1,660,000 translating to $1,238.81 per square foot.

Unit #45 at the Westlight in the West End with 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,542 square feet of living space was the third-highest price in this category at $1,034.37 per square foot. The modern apartment with its walls of windows and European-style kitchen was also the month’s third highest sale at $1,595,000. In fourth place is Unit #PH08 at Turnberry Tower in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. The 25th floor penthouse with stunning views of the Potomac River and 2,039 square feet of space sold for $2 million, translating into $980.87 per square foot. The $2 million sales price was the second highest of the month.

Unit #405 at Metropole in Logan Circle with 1-bedroom, 1.5-baths and 665 square feet sold for $575,000 or $864.66 per square foot. The loft features an open kitchen set into a single wall, floating spiral stairs and private balconies at each level. Closing out the list is Unit #502 at Q14 in Logan Circle. With 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and 1,066 square feet of space, the stylish flat with its blonde floors and private balcony sold for $900,000, or $844.28 per square foot.
