City Center - Washington DC's Hottest New Development

Located in Washington, DC’s trendy Mount Vernon neighborhood, CityCenterDC is a recently completed 10-acre “live, work and play” community. The condominium component consists of two luxury towers known as the Residences at CityCenter. The location is also home to apartments, hotels, offices, upscale retail, restaurants, landscaped walk paths and a 1.5-acre park.

There were multiple new listings for sale in November. Leading the way is Unit #908 in the H Street building with 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and 1,423 square feet of space. Priced at $1,425,000, the corner flat features a large open live/eat area with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, sliders to the balcony, wide-plank floors and a contemporary kitchen with Molteni cabinets, recessed appliances and breakfast bar. A master bedroom suite is complemented by a second bedroom suite boasting an bonus office nook. Sleek bathrooms, lots of closet space and two-car secure parking complete the picture.

Listed toward the end of November is Unit #807 in the I Street tower with a $749,000 price tag. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment has a very roomy and open 820 square foot plan with wide-plank oak floors and a glossy white-on-white themed modern kitchen, as well as a matching glossy white desk nook. A wall of floor-to-ceiling windows offers terrific city views. The contemporary bath has a separate powder room component for added privacy.

Also new in November is Unit #604 with 1-bedroom, 1.5-baths, 830 square feet of living space and a $739,000 price tag. The open-space layout features a Foster + Partners designed kitchen recessed into a single wall of Molteni wood-toned cabinets. The kitchen segues neatly into white-on-white desk nook along the same wall. From the pale Northern Oak flooring to a large bedroom, this unit is both stylish and competitively priced for its size.

Still active is Unit #1107, currently the highest priced available residence at CityCenterDC. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner penthouse with 1,452 square feet of living space is listed at $1.5 million. The open living area with 9-foot ceilings features a massive wraparound wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. The sleek kitchen with its Molteni/Dada cabinets and Bosch and Miele appliances in set into a single wall. An extended balcony is the perfect place to enjoy the view from the top floor. Large bedrooms, tons of closet space, two parking spaces and a walk-in storage unit help round out the picture.

Originally listed at $1,329,000, Unit #602 in the H building has since been reduced to $1,250,000. The roomy corner unit has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,191 square feet of living space. The welcoming floorplan includes lots of open space, huge windows, a signature Foster + Partners kitchen recessed into one wall, an extremely long balcony, wide-plank floors, bedrooms with sliding doors and stylish modern bathrooms. Included are two parking spaces and storage.

Unit #802 remains available for $1,275,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner unit has 1,272 square feet of living space, an elongated floor plan and a Molteni/Dada kitchen with Bosch and Thermador appliances plus Ceasarstone counters. A long balcony looks out on the city, while twin-sink vanities, custom built-in wardrobes and light from both southern and western exposures add to the allure. The unit comes with one garage parking space.

Unit #609 has now been reduced for the third time! Originally listed for $1,249,000, the 2-bedroom, 2-bath flat overlooking the central courtyard and landscaped terraces is now available for $1,099,000. With 1,210 square feet of living space and pale blonde wide-plank floors, this sunny residence has a welcoming open floorplan with bedrooms at opposite ends for added privacy. It is also rare in that it shares no common walls with adjacent units.

Still available is Unit #403 with 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 858 square feet of living space. Listed at $810,000, this apartment has a glossy white on white kitchen and office cubby that sets it apart from other wood-toned CityCenter cooking spaces. Also still active and recently reduced is Unit #612. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath flat is now available for just $635,000 making it a highly affordable option at CityCenterDC. The cute apartment has 685 square feet of space, oak floors throughout and a warm and inviting Foster + Partners kitchen with Molteni wood grain cabinets. There’s even a balcony!

There were no new sales contracts or closings at CityCenter in October. Unit #404 remains pending and is due to close in December. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath residence with 830 square feet of space went under contract after just 21 days on market. The list price for the modern flat with its white-on-white Euro-style recessed kitchen was $725,000.

The Residences at CityCenter in DC offer scads of amenities, including 24/7 front desk and concierge, a newly remodeled state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, a bar lounge, roof gardens with cooking stations and water feature, and an executive center. The CityCenter community itself offers over 30 bars and restaurants, plus lots of upscale shopping boutiques. The posh mixed use development is surrounded by Washington landmarks, historic theaters, national museums and other attractions.
