Those fortunate enough to have balconies facing the Potomac River have prime and highly coveted seats each year for Washington’s July 4 fireworks.
Listed on January 1, Unit #1111 has already been reduced! The prestigious “F” model with 2-bedrooms, a den and 2.5-baths was originally priced at $1,825,000 but has since dropped to $1,775,000. Unit #2309 is the most expensive new listing at Turnberry Tower at $2,969,000. Unit #1712 came to market in January, priced at $1,525,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment has a spacious open floorplan with 1,742 square feet of space. Unit #1902 went under contract with contingencies in January. Priced at $2,948,000, the super-sized 19th floor penthouse has a 3,045 square foot floorplan with 3-bedrooms, 3.5-baths and a den/office. There has already been four closings in the first month of the year! The most expensive of the group, Unit #1910, listed for $2,349,000 and sold for $2,210,000. Features include a private elevator, custom wall treatments, walnut herringbone floors, dramatic coffered and tray ceilings, a balcony with river views and a gourmet kitchen with Sub-Zero and Miele appliances. Built-in speakers, recessed lighting, a very luxurious master bath and walk-in closets add to the appeal.
Unit #1706 listed for $960,000 and sold at full price. The 1-bedroom, 2-bath apartment has a roomy 1,404 square foot floorplan with huge windows and an open gourmet kitchen. Other features include hardwood floors, direct elevator access, recessed lighting and a large balcony with Arlington views, as well as peeks of the river.
The final closing in January was Unit #306. The 1-bedroom, 2-bath flat has 1,404 square feet of living space, and sold for $821,600. A wall of floor-to-ceiling windows allows natural light to bathe richly-toned hardwood floors in a warm, inviting glow. There’s also a den, marble baths, a balcony and a gourmet kitchen with appliances set into Snaidero wood cabinetry.
Turnberry Tower has tons of amenities for its residents, with a staffed font desk, concierge, complimentary valet parking, a heated indoor swimming pool, screening room with catering kitchen and secure parking. The Rosslyn Metro is within easy strolling distance.
