The highest overall sales price for condos and cooperatives in the DC area in December goes to Unit #4E at 1055 High in Georgetown. The fabulous 4,081 square foot penthouse is notable in multiple respects; as the top sale at $5,100,000 as well as the highest price per square foot at $1,249.69 per sq. ft. It also happens to be the first closing at the building since July 2015. Features include a family room, a marble fireplace in the living room, a gorgeous modern kitchen and three private outdoor spaces, including a roof-level deck.

A fifth-place tie goes to 22 West in the West End neighborhood, with Units #4D and #6D each selling for $2,150,000. Continuing this unusual pairing, each had three bedrooms, three full baths and 1,967 square feet of living space, placing them into another tie, this time in the price per square foot category. Closing out the highest priced sales category is Unit #1004 at the Odyssey in Rosslyn. The custom corner unit combines two condos into one, resulting in a unique three-bedroom, three-bath residence that listed for $2,195,000 and closed at $2,090,000. With three-sided window walls and a wraparound balcony, this city home offers stellar views of Arlington, the Potomac River and the Washington Monument.
