Ritz-Carlton West End | Market Pulse | April 2021

Synonymous with world-class hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton West End combines a hotel and condominiums into one full-service luxury package. Located in Washington, DC’s West End neighborhood, the complex includes two condo towers that flank a central hotel component, along with a courtyard with waterfall, street level businesses and tons of amenities.

There were no new listings in the month of April. However, there are still some excellent available condos from previous months. Topping the list is Unit #PH3E, a spectacular 5,112 square foot penthouse that has aptly been described as a “sanctuary in the sky.” The two-level residence had previously gone under contract but that is no longer the case. The $5,999,000 showcase home is yours for the taking, with three bedrooms, 5.5 baths, a living room with wood-burning fireplace, a Chef’s kitchen, dining room, family room, two offices, a wet bar and a 4,000 square foot private multilevel rooftop terrace!

Listed at $3,795,000, Unit #PH2E is another incredible penthouse. The 4,008 square foot apartment offers three bedrooms and 3.5 baths, along with stunning architectural detailing such as the latticework ceiling beams in the living room. In addition to the main chef’s kitchen there is also a catering kitchen with wine cooler. Also included is a home office, a den with a bar, a media room, custom wall treatments and three lovely outdoor terraces.

Unit #PH1A came to market last month and is still available for $2,150,000. The lavish corner penthouse has three bedrooms, 3.5 baths and 2,845 square feet of luxe living space. The layout positions bedrooms in separate wings for extra privacy, including a huge owner’s suite with a sitting area, three walk-in closets and a glorious marble master bath. Brazilian cherry herringbone floors, a gourmet kitchen and formal dining room add to the appeal.

Still available is Unit #2D for $1,395,000. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment was reduced in February by $100K. With a 1,760 square foot layout, the residence has custom wall coverings, cherry floors, a dining room and a large traditional walk-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counters. There is also a large private terrace overlooking the courtyard plus two additional balconies.

Unit #6G is still active at $1,100,000. The ground-level one-bedroom, two-bath apartment is being sold fully furnished. Large open spaces, custom wall finishes and a huge living room with massive window wall overlooking the courtyard, make the 1,062 square foot residence seem especially roomy. Other features include a gourmet kitchen, a den, an in-unit washer/dryer and one parking space.

Still available is Unit #4G, offered at $1,049,000. The 1,147 square foot residence has an owner’s suite, two full baths and a second bedroom that can serve nicely as a work-from-home space. The spacious living area has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing tons of natural light, as well as a gas fireplace. An adjacent dining area has large built-ins. You can also dine out on a large private terrace!

Unit #3L is priced at $990,000. The one-bedroom, 1.5-bath flat sports a contemporary look with dark hardwood floors. A sleek remodeled open kitchen features a white marble waterfall island, marble slab backsplash and stainless steel Viking appliances. A large bedroom has been customized with built-in closets, pendant lighting, a built-in desk and a wall of windows.

Those desiring a penthouse with a competitive price should check out Unit #PH1F. Listed at $839,000, the two-bedroom, two-bath bird’s nest boasts 978 square feet of modern style with a giant wall of windows, blonde hardwood floors and matching built-ins for that Scandinavian look. A cool office cubby with a built-in desk is another example of the penthouse’s stylish functionality.

One residence went under contract in April. Unit #5A had been listed at $2,395,000 with three-bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Extensive renovations include a large kitchen with white marble counters and stainless steel appliances recessed into white cabinetry. The baths have also been remodeled. There’s a very generous 2,845 square foot floorplan, with a bonus family room and a formal dining room.

Unit #2G expired at the end of April. The two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with 1,096 square feet of interior space had been listed at $945,500. The layout includes a living room with gas fireplace, an adjoining family room, intriguing custom wall finishes and a long, dual-entry private balcony. We’ll watch to see if this one becomes active again.

There’s seemingly no end to the amenities at The Ritz-Carlton West End. Residents enjoy options for housekeeping, room service and even private chefs. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool, front desk and concierge and priority access to Equinox Sports Club. Street level businesses include CVS, Sweetgreen and SoulCycle. Landmark’s West End Cinema is steps away, as are local restaurants.
