Topping the list in the size ratio category for June is an apartment that someone truly wanted. Unit #1012 at CityCenterDC in Mount Vernon Triangle sold for $2,622,000 on the first day of its public listing. With two bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a 1,287 square foot layout, the apartment was the third-highest overall sale and the highest per square foot, at an extremely impressive $2,037.30. Two secure parking spaces were included for a modern dwelling inside of Washington’s premiere bubble community—CityCenter spans more than five downtown blocks and includes over 40 upscale restaurants and retailers. Second place goes to an exclusive Life At The Top listing. Unit #1116 at the incredible VIO at The Wharf has one bed, one bath and 720 square feet of living space, with the added bonus of a private 275 square foot terrace with direct Capitol views. The gorgeous apartment with its open Euro-style kitchen sold for a grand over the asking price at $850,000, translating to a robust $1,180.56 per square foot.

Unit #31 at Westlight in the West End neighborhood had the third-highest size ratio price at $1,100.63 per square foot, as well as the second-highest overall closing price at $2,625,000. The modern three-bedroom, three-bath apartment with 2,385 square feet of space offers a chic white-on-white ambience with the palest of blonde wood floors. Unit #605 at Q14 in Logan Circle is another multiple category winner. The 1,700 square foot loft home with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths had the fourth-highest sales price at $1,849,900 and the fourth-highest price per square foot at $1,088.18. Soaring open ceilings, two stories of windows, floating stairs and an 800 square foot wraparound terrace sealed the deal.

Also in Logan Circle is our fifth-place winner, Unit #41 at Rainbow Lofts. The two-bedroom, two-bath residence with 1,323 square feet of space closed at $1,430,000, or $1,080.88 per sq. ft. The building was once the Rainbow Auto and Painting Company, and is part of Logan Circle’s famed Auto Row. Our sixth-highest size ratio honoree also happens to be the top overall sales price for the month. Unit #PH18B at Somerset House in Friendship Heights is an incredible penthouse with 3,554 square feet of living space that sold for $3,375,000. That equals $949.63 per square foot for the impeccable residence with three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a library, a gourmet kitchen and a 900 square foot private roof terrace.
