Our highest sale for July stands tall near the water’s edge in Rosslyn. Unit #2001 at Turnberry Tower collected a whopping $3,175,000. The 4,447 square foot luxe residence on the 20th floor was only on the market for two days before going under contract. Somebody really wanted this three-bedroom, 4.5-bath apartment with a bonus den and not one, but two sweeping terraces with phenomenal views. Giant window walls, direct elevator access and a gorgeous gourmet kitchen are a few other features in this sky-high home by the Potomac River. Second place goes to Unit #708 at Metropole in Logan Circle. The thoughtfully renovated two-level, two-bedroom, two-bath penthouse has 21-feet ceilings in places, as well as an office, a glass catwalk, a two-level private deck and three parking spaces. It’s the height of chic modernity and it sold for $2,350,000.
In third place is Unit #402 at The Edgemore at Arlington, in Bethesda. Notably, this was the building’s first closing since October 2019. The gorgeous three-bedroom, 2.5-bath penthouse with 2,750 square feet of living space listed for $2,350,000 and sold for $2,250,000. Next on the list is Unit #3F at the Ritz-Carlton West End. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment has a spacious 2,648 square foot layout, with a centrally positioned gourmet kitchen, living spaces and a large terrace at one end and bedrooms at the other end. It was only on the market for three days before receiving an accepted offer of $2.2 million.
The fifth highest condo or cooperative sale in the DC region in July was Unit #5K at 22 West in the West End neighborhood. The modern two-bedroom apartment has 2.5 baths and 1,927 square feet of living space, with oak floors throughout, a sleek open kitchen and French doors leading out to a private terrace. The full list price closing at $2,053,555 was also the third-highest price per square foot at $1,065.67. Closing out this list is Unit #PH104 at Westlight in the West End. The 1,603 square foot penthouse with two bedrooms, two baths and giant floor-to-ceiling windows, sold for $1,985,000. The listing also grabbed top honors in the price per square foot category at $1,238.30 per sq. ft.
