City Center - Washington DC's Hottest New Development

August was a busy month at CityCenterDC, with multiple new listings and lots of sales activity. The mixed-use community is one of the largest in the nation, spanning more than five city blocks in Washington’s vibrant Mount Vernon Triangle. There are condos, apartments, a hotel, an office tower, a 1.5-acre park and an incredible assortment of upscale boutique retailers and popular restaurants.

New to the market in August is Unit #402 with a $1,335,000 price tag. The two-bedroom, two-bath residence has a spacious 1,340 square foot layout with giant windows and a long private balcony. The main living, dining and cooking area is all in one open space, with the Euro-style wood tone kitchen set neatly into one wall. White oak floors and a stunning owners’ suite add to the allure.

Also newly listed in August is Unit #506 with two bedrooms, two baths and 1,033 square feet of space. Offered at $939,000, the sun-drenched flat has ultra-wide plank floors and an L-shaped Foster + Partners kitchen with Molteni cabinetry and panelized stainless steel appliances. There’s also a balcony, and an intriguing owners’ suite with an unusually large and open bath.

The priciest and largest current listing is Unit #715 with a $2,749,999 price tag. The two-bedroom, two-bath residence boasts 1,584 square feet of living space, including a sleek modern kitchen and uninterrupted window walls. A lush 576 square foot private multilevel walk-out terrace provides the perfect outdoor oasis. There’s also an extended balcony that is accessible from each bedroom.

Unit #407 came to market in July and remains available at $798,000. The one-bedroom, one-bath flat has an 820 square foot layout, with gorgeous wide-plank floors and an open gourmet kitchen with Caesarstone counters, a breakfast island, and panelized Bosch, Thermador and Miele appliances. Extras include a built-in desk with network connections, a washer and dryer, and parking.

Still active is Unit #809, at $1,399,900. The impressive corner unit with two bedrooms and 2.5 baths, overlooks lush gardens and terraces. Giant wraparound windows allow abundant light to illuminate the pale oak wide-plank flooring, and an open gourmet kitchen. One of the two bedroom suites also offers a private office area, just perfect for catching up on work or reading.

Unit #516 remains up for grabs at $1,050,000. Add giant floor-to-ceiling windows, a large bedroom with a window sitting bay, and a huge walk-in closet, and you have a memorable residence.

Unit #1102 has been reduced from $1,550,000 down to $1,494,999. The penthouse level apartment has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,209 square feet of space. An uninterrupted wall of giant windows in the living area adds to the spacious feel. There’s also a private terrace, a built-in desk nook, an open gourmet kitchen with an extended breakfast bar, and a lovely owners’ suite.

While there were no new contracts in July, there were several closings. It starts with Unit #810, a glorious corner penthouse that sold for its full asking price of $1,165,000. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment boasts 1,389 square feet of living space plus an incredible 1,009 square foot private rooftop terrace. A stylish open kitchen with Caesarstone counters is the perfect place to create meals.

Unit #305 was listed at $1,325,000 before ultimately selling for $1,250,000. The corner apartment has two bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 1,375 square feet of space and a wonderful layout. Giant windows allow plenty of natural light into the residence, with a Foster + Partners kitchen set unobtrusively into just one wall.

Unit #608 sold for $815,000 after listing for $825,000. The two-bedroom, two-bath apartment has a modern and luxurious feel, with a southern exposure balcony running the width of the unit. An Italian-style gourmet kitchen, wide-plank floors, oversized windows and walk-in closets contribute to the appeal.

The final closing in August is Unit #712, a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment that listed for $599,900 and sold for $567,000. The sunny flat’s 685 square foot layout is maximized by an open living area, white oak flooring, a balcony and a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances recessed into glossy white Italian cabinetry.

Residents enjoy full-service amenities, including a front desk with concierge and porter, party rooms, a fitness center and yoga studio, an executive business center, a bar lounge and a spectacular rooftop deck with a serene water feature.
