There were two buildings in the Washington, DC area with three sales each in October: City Vista in the Mount Vernon Triangle and Somerset House in Chevy Chase. Somerset House is the condominium component in the exclusive gated Parc Somerset community with its country club-style amenities, and is home to Unit #1507, the month’s fourth-highest closing in the list-to-sales ratio at 101.80 percent. There were no fewer than 10 buildings with two sales each! One of the two sales at 1055 High in Georgetown figures prominently in October’s highlights, having captured the second-highest sales price, and the top price per square foot. Unit #3W with three bedrooms, 3.5 baths and 3,538 sq. ft. of living space sold for $4.4 million, translating to $1,243.64 per square foot. Unit #302 at Butterfield House on Capitol Hill is one of two sales at the desirable address, listing for $450,000 and closing at $463,250, making it the second-highest in the list-to-sales ratio at 102.94 percent. Unit #8B at 22 West in the West End neighborhood is one of two sales in the building, as well as the sixth-highest in the price per sq. ft. category at $975.31. The roomy one-bedroom with two baths and a bonus den measures out at 1,215 square feet and sold for $1,185,000.
