Top honors for the highest price per square foot in March go to Unit #609 at VIO in the Southwest Waterfront. The 1,985 square foot flat with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths sold for $3,150,000 (the fifth highest overall sale), translating to $1,586.90 per square foot. VIO is perfectly located at The Wharf, aka District Wharf, the new waterfront development from Hoffman & Associates and Madison Marquette. Coming in a close second is Unit #3J at 3303 Water Street in Georgetown. The two-level showcase modern residence with major renovations from Taylor Deering of Spaced Out Design, has 2,204 sq. ft. of living space and sold for $3,350,000 (third-highest sale for the month), translating to $1,518.96 per square foot.

Unit #73 at the Westlight in the West End neighborhood had the third-highest price per sq. foot at $1,398.32 and the second-highest sale at $3,995,000. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath apartment has a 2,857 square foot floorplan, and a very modern white-on-white ambience, including a true showstopper kitchen with panelized appliances. Fourth place goes to Unit #2401 at the new construction Pierce building in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment has 2,289 sq. ft. of living space and closed at $3,140,000, translating to $1,371.78 per square foot. This was also the third-highest condo sale for March.

Unit #T-10 at 2501 M in the West End neighborhood takes fifth place, selling for $2,350,000 which translates to $1,275.79 per sq. ft. for the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment with 1,842 square feet of contemporary living space. Our final nod in this category goes to Unit #2507 at Verse in Virginia’s McLean community. Verse is part of the new expansion that brings the Tysons and McLean neighborhoods together. This particular residence is the largest of the three penthouses at Verse, with two luxury bedroom suites and 2.5 baths. The 2,456 square foot apartment sold for $2,800,000 ($1,140.07 per sq. ft.), and features a long balcony connecting the two bedrooms, as well as an incredible private roof-level terrace.
