Most people are familiar with Ritz-Carlton as a world-famous hotel brand. But not everyone knows that some locations also offer fulltime residency in the form of condominiums. Such is the case with The Ritz-Carlton West End, with two condo towers flanking a hotel in the heart of Washington, DC’s popular West End neighborhood. This full-service luxury establishment offers a great location, lots of amenities, and a well-deserved white gloves reputation.
There were no new listings in August, but there are still available condos from previous months. Topping the list is Unit #PH3E, a stunning penthouse priced at $7,500,000. The residence features 5,112 square feet of living space spread out over two levels. The crowning touch is a large private rooftop terrace with 360-degree skyline views. There are three bedrooms, 5.5 baths, a huge open living area that extends to a spacious dining room, and a lovely library with floor-to-ceiling windows. The gourmet kitchen with its professional grade appliances is fit for a chef, and the private owner’s suite is serene and relaxing with its own private balcony and two giant walk-in closet/dressing rooms.
Unit #3L came to market in July with an asking price of $1,500,000. The oversized one-bedroom, 1.5-bath residence has 1,004 square feet of space. The tour begins with a large foyer that acts as an organic hub to the elegant layout. Dark mahogany engineered hardwood floors, space-saving pocket doors, stylish light features, and custom closet organizers add to the appeal. The large and well-appointed gourmet kitchen includes a white marble waterfall island, a stunning marble slab backsplash, and upscale stainless steel appliances.
Still available for $1,795,000, Unit #5C has a generous 1,846 square foot floorplan with two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The main living area is quite large, with wraparound full-height windows. There’s ample room for a dining table as well as living room furniture, thus leaving the adjacent formal dining room free to use as a work-from-home office or family room if you so choose.
Unit #8E is an impressive apartment that has been newly reduced in price, from $3,800,000 down to $3,400,000. The spacious residence measures approximately 3,096 square feet, with three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a large and elegant tiled foyer. Other features include lovely wide plank hardwood floors, a giant open living and dining area, a family room, an oversized eat-in gourmet kitchen, and huge windows.
Unit #8C went into Active Under Contract status in August, meaning that it is pending with contingencies. Listed at $1,695,000, the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo has a roomy 1,846 square foot layout with a huge living room, an adjacent formal dining room, and two private balconies. Other features include Brazilian cherry herringbone floors, a large gourmet kitchen with recessed appliances, and marble baths.
Unit #8F also went under contract in August with an anticipated closing date in mid-September. The 978 square foot apartment had been listed at $859,000, with beautiful Brazilian cherry herringbone hardwood floors, courtyard views, and a large gourmet kitchen that is perfect for socializing as meals are prepared with stainless steel appliances including a Viking gas range. There’s a fireplace in the living room, and a formal dining room for sit-down meals.
There were no closings in August. One condo has been temporarily taken off the market. Unit #6G is a renovated residence that had been priced at $1,295,000 with 1,147 square feet of living space including two bedrooms and two full baths. A refreshed kitchen includes Viking, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances. The spacious primary bedroom suite boasts custom built-ins, a lovely ensuite bath, and access to an extended balcony that is also accessible through the main living area.
Condominium owners at The Ritz-Carlton West End enjoy a number of full service amenities, including a fully staffed front desk, concierge, and options for housekeeping, room service and even private chefs. Also included is priority access to Equinox Sports Club with its heated swimming pool. Street level businesses include CVS, Sweetgreen and SoulCycle. Landmark’s West End Cinema is steps away, as are local restaurants.
