City Center - Washington DC's Hottest New Development

Combining a fashionable outdoor shopping mall with upscale living, City Center DC spans five city blocks in Mount Vernon Triangle. The large, mixed-use community includes two 12-story condo towers with 216 residences, as well as a hotel, offices, over 40 retailers and restaurants, and a 1.5-acre park. It’s a complete lifestyle experience that continues once you step outside the City Center expanses and discover the many surrounding Downtown DC attractions.

New to the market in December is Unit #907 with one bedroom, one bath, and an asking price of $679,900. The stylish 9th floor flat with 714 square feet of open living space offers modern finishes, a full length balcony, white oak floors, and a built-in workstation. The unobtrusive, sleek and open kitchen features Molteni cabinetry, built-in Bosch appliances, and white stone counters.

The highest priced active listing at City Center currently is Unit #1006, offered at $1,535,000. This two-bedroom corner residence with two baths and 1,460 square feet of space, has spectacular views from giant wraparound windows and two balconies. Custom wall accents, extra-wide plank floors, and an oversized primary bedroom suite combine to make this a standout condo.

Still available with an asking price of $714,999 is Unit #908. The 860 square foot layout includes one large bedroom, 1.5 baths, a completely open gourmet kitchen and a fun desk cubby. A bank of full height windows offers terrific city views, as well as inviting natural light inside. There are wide plank floors, and a large ensuite bedroom that is semi-open to a wall of hallway windows.

Unit #912 is listed at the competitive price of $599,995. The 635 square foot condo has one bedroom, one bath, attractive hardwood floors, and a two-tone Foster + Partners open kitchen with white Caesarstone counters and bleached wood cabinetry. A sunny balcony is the perfect spot for a cup of morning tea or coffee.

Priced at $685,850, Unit #607 has one bedroom, one bath, and 773 square feet of living space. The L-shaped floorplan overlooks lovely interior courtyards as well as a Zen-like water feature. The wall-hugging Euro-style kitchen leaves plenty of space in the open living and dining areas. There is also a gourmet kitchen, wide-plank floors, large windows, plenty of closet space, and secure parking.

Unit #905 had a new price reduction to kick off the New Year. The one-bedroom, one-bath flat with a 766 square foot floorplan is now listed at $679,900 for a $20K decrease. Other perks include the private balcony, a desk cubby, open gourmet kitchen, and secure parking.

Unit #908 went into A/C status in December after listing for $714,999. The 860 square foot apartment with one bedroom and two baths is pending with contingencies and can technically still be considered for backup offers. That said, it is currently due to close toward the end of January. The roomy condo has a wall of windows offering terrific cityscape views.

Also now pending with contingencies is Unit #803. The one-bedroom flat with 787 square feet of interior space had been listed at $688,000. There is an open floorplan, wide-plank floors, and a private terrace. Add a gourmet kitchen with Molteni cabinetry, panelized Bosch appliances, Corian counters and breakfast bar, a built-in desk nook, and secure parking.

Unit #702 remains in A/C status as well with an anticipated closing date toward the end of the month. Priced at $1,425,000, the two-bedroom corner residence has two baths and a very spacious 1,340 square foot layout. The Foster + Partners designed glossy white kitchen fits neatly along one wall, leaving a very roomy Great Room concept for relaxation and dining.

There was one sale in December. Unit #910 sold for its full asking price of $990,000. The 1,124 square foot apartment features two bedrooms, two baths, an extended balcony, and a modern gourmet kitchen with Molteni white lacquer custom cabinetry, and panelized upscale appliances. Wide-plank white oaks floors, and Molteni closets systems add further appeal.

Described by the New York Times as a modern day Rockefeller Center in Downtown DC, City Center is located at the site of the former Convention Center. The location is ideally close to Washington’s landmarks, museums, theaters, and halls of political power. Condo residents enjoy staffed lobbies in each of condo towers, including concierge service, and doormen.
