Turnberry Tower |Market Pulse | December 2023

Boasting incredible waterfront views, Turnberry Tower is the tallest residential building in the Washington DC Metro region. Perched near the Potomac River in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood, the sleek 26-story condominium was designed by Robert M. Swedroe and completed in 2009. The building also offers an extensive menu of full service luxury amenities.

There were no new listings at Turnberry Tower in December. However, Unit #TS02 remains up for grabs. The Tower Suite penthouse was the most expensive new condo listing in the DC area in November at $3,500,000. With its four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, soaring ceilings and 3,100 square feet of living space, this ultra-spacious birds nest residence represents the height of upscale living. Features include a private elevator, a sweeping terrace with extraordinary views, and a massive primary suite with a marble fireplace, dressing room, and luxe ensuite bath.

Also still available is Unit #2011 with an asking price of $2,750,000. Elegance is on full display throughout the 3,036 square foot apartment, with marble tile floors, a direct access elevator, and views of the city and the river from huge window walls as well as from the extended balcony. There are two bedrooms, a nice-sized den, and 3.5 baths. Also notable is the glossy gourmet kitchen with its Italian Snaidero cabinetry and panelized appliances, plus an in-unit laundry room, and two garage parking spaces.

Offered at $865,000, Unit #406 is a very roomy one-bedroom with a large bonus den that can serve equally well as an extra bedroom, office, or library. Even the extended balcony with its sweeping views has been upgraded with tile woodgrain flooring. The primary bedroom suite has the hugest marble bathroom!

There were two closings in December. Unit #2004 sold for $2,500,000. The 2,655 square foot residence has two ensuite bedrooms with sumptuous marble baths, as well as an ensuite den that can also serve nicely as an extra bedroom. Luxury finishes include Brazilian walnut solid wood floors throughout, SMART home automation including remote controlled window shades, four wall-mounted flat screens with surround sound speakers, and a terrific open gourmet kitchen.

Also selling in December was Unit #1008. The extra-spacious one-bedroom apartment with a 1,312 square foot layout closed for $830,000. There are 1.5 baths, a delightful desk nook, gleaming hardwood floors, and a wall of windows allowing plenty of natural light inside. The gourmet kitchen is open to the great room concept, the master marble bath is huge, with a double-sink vanity, deep soaking tub, and separate shower.

Those living at Turnberry Tower enjoy a true lap of luxury lifestyle, with a staffed front lobby, concierge service, and valet parking. The heated indoor swimming pool is huge and situated in an atrium-like setting with soaring skylights overhead.
