Modern Living at Wooster and Mercer Lofts

Wooster and Mercer | Market Pulse | March 2019

One of the most visually striking and in-demand addresses in all of Washington Metro is The Wooster and Mercer Lofts. Located along the super-trendy Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor in Arlington, the condominium community is comprised of two buildings featuring modern luxury loft residences with massive factory-style windows and intriguing finishes, such as columns wrapped with 140-year-old bricks.

Available condos can be hard to come by at Wooster and Mercer. As a case in point, there was just one new listing in March (also the only active listing as of this writing). Unit #M202 in the Mercer building has 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and 2,330 square feet of living space. The stunning two-level loft has soaring ceilings, giant windows, gorgeous hardwood floors and the signature exposed bricks from the old Children’s Museum in Washington, DC. Floating iron stairs lead up from the open living area to second level sleeping quarters, while French doors lead out to a delightful patio. Listed at $1,399,000, the residence comes with two covered garage spaces and a large storage unit.

Unit #M404 is still pending at $999,900. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath mezzanine loft has 1,876 square feet of living space with rich hardwood floors throughout, a stunning Chef’s kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, two stories of outrageously large windows, exposed brick and overhead ductwork. Kudos also to the walk-in closets and posh bathrooms with frameless showers, granite vanity tops and slate floors.

Closing in March was Unit #W212 in the Wooster building. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment has 1,294 square feet of living space and an open floorplan accentuated by natural light from the oversized windows. The gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, exposed bricks, overhead ductwork, frosted glass bedroom wall, a balcony and a luxurious bathroom with double sink vanity, are all part of the allure. The unit listed for $725,000 and closed for $726,000—a grand over asking!

The Wooster and Mercer is located at 1600 Clarendon Boulevard in Rosslyn, and close to the next-door neighborhood of Courtyard. This ideal setting is strolling distance from scads of high-end shops and restaurants. Residents enjoy plenty of condominium amenities, including a central courtyard, a huge swimming pool, fitness center, club room and a private dog park.
