The Residences at CityCenter are the condominium component of CityCenterDC in Washington’s Mount Vernon neighborhood. There are two luxury condo towers plus apartments, hotels, offices, shops, restaurants and a lovely park. The 10-acre live-work-play experience is located where the old Washington Convention Center once stood. It was completed in 2015.
There were no new listings in May. But there are still some active condos on the market for interested buyers. A case in point is Unit #1103, a penthouse with 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and more than 1,700 square feet of living space. Add the 1,010 square-foot private sky terrace and you have an entertainer’s showcase. Listed at $3.2 million, this residence has an elongated floorplan with a master bedroom suite at one end and the second bedroom suite at the other.
Unit #410 features 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths, two balconies, two parking spaces and 1,425 square feet of interior space. The asking price is $1,490,000 for this spacious flat with a huge open living area, floor-to-ceiling windows and great cityscape views. The ultra-modern kitchen is also noteworthy, set unobtrusively into a single Molteni cabinet wall.
Unit #609 came to market in April and is available for $1,224,900. With 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,210 square feet of living space, the flat has huge windows overlooking an interior courtyard, blonde ultra-wide hardwoods, custom wall treatments and a Foster + Partners kitchen with Molteni/Dada cabinetry.
Listed in April for $825,000, Unit #403 offers 1-beroom, 1-bath and 858 square feet of living space. The bright and open flat has a clean, minimalist look with a white-on-white modern kitchen, recessed stainless steel appliances, an office cubby, pale wide-plank hardwoods and a large balcony.
Also still available is Unit #1006, a cute 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo that listed at the end of April for $719,900. The sunny apartment has 772 square feet of space, floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, office nook, stacked front-loading washer/dryer and a modern kitchen with upscale appliances.
Unit #913 went under contract in April with a June close date. The Foster + Partners designed residence boasts 940 square feet of space—unusually large for a 1-bedroom, 1-bath floorplan. Listed at $779,500, the flat features giant window walls, solar shades, six-inch Northern European floors, cool gray custom finishes and a beautiful kitchen with Caesarstone counters, Molteni cabinetry and integrated Bosch and Miele appliances.
Unit #416 is also pending. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment has 1,209 square feet of space, sliders leading to a lovely patio, and a signature CityCenter kitchen with Molteni cabs and Caesarstone counters. It was priced at $1,165,000 and went under contract in less than a month.
Also under contract is Unit #1105 with 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 814 square feet of space. Priced at $799,900, the penthouse-level property with floor-to-ceiling windows offers expansive views of Downtown DC. Also of note is sunny glass bedroom bay, as well as custom closet organizers.
There was one closing in May. Unit #703 with 1-bedroom, 1.5-baths and 878 square feet of living space and Molteni and Caesarstone kitchen along one wall, listed for $775,000 and closed for $700,000. The apartment has views of Louis Vutton and the courtyard.
Also noteworthy, the listing for Unit #810 has expired. The corner penthouse with two master suites, custom wall treatments and Molteni/Dada cabinetry had been priced at $2,650,000.
There’s amenities aplenty at the Residences at CityCenter with a newly redesigned fitness center, yoga studio, concierge, porters, bar lounge, roof gardens, water feature, outdoor kitchens and an executive business center. The CityCenterDC community has more than 30 restaurants and retailers. But there’s also a wealth of attractions immediately outside the community, with tons of shops, restaurants, national museums, famous theaters and so much more.
