City Center - Washington DC's Hottest New Development

Located within the giant CityCenterDC complex are two condominium towers known as the Residences at CityCenter. These condos are the height of modern luxury, both in style as well as the number of amenities that are included. The CityCenterDC community itself is located in Washington’s popular Mount Vernon Triangle, at the former site of the Washington Convention Center. Covering more than five city blocks, the mixed-use development includes the two condo towers, two apartment buildings, two office buildings, hotels, upscale retail and restaurants, and a 1.4-acre park.

The highest-priced new listing in February was Unit #505 at $1,775,000. The 2-bedroom apartment with 2-full and 2-half baths has an especially large layout at 1,947 square feet. This is the result of combining two units into one. A glossy white kitchen runs along the wall, with an island set further out in the open living area than is the norm at CityCenter. Other interesting features include a work space with wet bar. Signature hardwood flooring runs throughout. Included are two parking spaces and two storage units.

Unit #502 listed in February at $1,550,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner flat has a 1,340 square foot layout, with a gourmet kitchen, a large open living and dining area, pale wide-plank floors and giant floor-to-ceiling window walls on two sides. The master bedroom is quite large, and includes an impressive walk-in closet with custom organizers as well as a sleek en-suite bath with double sink vanity. Also notable is the long private balcony, plus washer/dryer, two parking spaces and extra storage.

Unit #702 came on the market in February with a $1,495,000 price tag. The front corner condo has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,340 square feet of living space. Bleached hardwood floors, wraparound windows and a sublime glossy white modern kitchen are among the attributes. There’s a private balcony overlooking the street, a large master suite, two en-suite baths and plenty of closet space, including custom built-in organizers. A stacked washer/dryer and two parking spaces are included.

Unit #514 listed in February for $835,000. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath flat has 799 square feet of living space, with an elongated open living and dining area and a sleek modern kitchen with Molteni cabinets recessed into a single wall. Tall windows allow natural light to bathe the pale Northern Oak wide plank floors in a soft glow. There’s also a private balcony, perfect for enjoying morning coffee.

Also new in February is Unit #507 with 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 724 square feet of space. Listed at $724,900, this attractive apartment has a nice, open layout, with brand-new European hardwood floors. The gourmet kitchen features wood-tone Molteni cabinets, upscale stainless steel appliances and an upgraded white Caesarstone island and counter. The bedroom is quite roomy, and includes a sitting area by a window overlooking one of the many courtyards and water features at CityCenter.

Unit #1007 listed on February 27 for $709,000. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 734 square feet of space. An open floorplan, full-height windows, white oaks floors and a Foster + Partners designed kitchen with Bosch, Miele and Thermador appliances add to the appeal. One assigned garage parking space is included.

With 1-bedroom, 1-bath and a cozy 689 square foot layout, Unit #712 came to market in February, Listed for a competitive $662,500, the flat offers a space-saving glossy white kitchen with Molteni cabinetry, a washer/dryer stack tucked into a closet, and a fun balcony as well. One garage parking space conveys.

Closing out the new listings is Unit #612, the most affordable apartment currently available at CityCenterDC at $615,000. With 685 square feet of living space, this modern open flat came on the market at the end of the month. The warm wood-toned finish in the kitchen complements the wide-plank premium wood floors perfectly. The bedroom is nice-sized and includes an Elfa storage system. Bonus points for a fun balcony, stacked washer/dryer and one garage parking space.

Still available is Unit #1107. Priced at $1.5 million, the 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner penthouse offers 1,452 square feet of living space. Massive floor-to-ceiling windows span the length of a large open living area that also includes a Foster + Partners kitchen set into a single wall. A long private balcony has multiple access points, including both bedrooms. Northern Oak flooring runs throughout. Also notable are the sleek bathrooms, walk-in closets, washer and dryer, two parking spaces and a walk-in storage unit.

Unit #908 remains on the market with a $1,370,000 asking price. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment boasts 1,423 square feet of living space with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, allowing natural light to bathe the pale wood floors. A private balcony offers views of courtyards and garden terraces. The kitchen features Molteni cabinets and recessed appliances. A master bedroom suite is complemented by a second bedroom suite boasting a bonus office nook. Two parking spaces are included.

Unit #710 is also still available after being listed in January. With an asking price of $1,275,000, the 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment offers 1,124 square feet of living space. Ultra-wide plank floors run throughout the unit. An open kitchen features recessed upscale appliances and breakfast bar, while a private balcony runs the length of the unit. An office cubby, walk-in closets, simple yet elegant bathrooms, a washer/dryer stack, extra storage and one reserved parking space are included.

Unit #609 closed at the end of February. Listed at $1,099,900, the charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath flat overlooking the central courtyard sold for $1,020,000. The layout with its 1,210 square feet of space features bedrooms at opposite ends for privacy. Also, there are no shared walls with adjacent units. A stylish open kitchen, Northern European Oak floors and a sleek en-suite bathrooms with white Caesarstone floating vanities add to the considerable appeal.

Unit #602 also closed in February. The corner residence with 2-beds, 2-baths and 1,191 square feet of space listed at $1,250,000 and sold for $1,050,000. An open floorplan features huge windows, a signature Foster + Partners kitchen recessed into one wall, wide-plank floors, bedrooms with sliding doors and stylish modern bathrooms. An extended balcony runs the length of the unit, providing a great urban view. Included are two parking spaces and storage.

Unit #807 went under contract in January for $749,900 and closed the following month for $735,000. The 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment has a spacious 820 square foot layout. A sublime white-on-white kitchen with recessed appliances adds to the open an airy feel. There’s also an extended white office cubby, built-ins and massive windows.

Condominium residents at CityCenterDC enjoy a ton of amenities. There is staffed front desk in each building, concierge service, valet parking, a recently remodeled fitness center and spa, roof gardens with cooking stations and a water feature, courtyards, a bar lounge and an executive center.
