The Columbia Residences is one of the most striking adaptive reuse developments in Washington, DC, with unsurpassed community amenities and a rich history. Originally located in Thomas Circle, the Columbia Hospital for Women opened in 1866, serving wives and widows of Civil War soldiers. The hospital moved to its current West End location in 1876 and was rebuilt in 1912. In 2002, the complex with its ornate Italianate design closed its doors as a hospital. It subsequently renovated, reopening in 2006 as luxury condominiums.

The most expensive new listing at the Columbia in March is Unit #203 with a $1,895,000 price tag. The large apartment with 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths plus a den, measures out at 1,915 square feet. Bonus points for the private balcony!
