Topping the number of units sold in October 2022 is The Whitman in Mount Vernon Triangle. This large and very popular condo community is known for its hotel style living with just about every amenity imaginable, including a spectacular rooftop oasis with pool, gas grills, and multiple lounging and dining areas. Among the four sales is Unit #301 with the month’s highest list to sales ratio at 104.94 percent. The lovely two-bedroom flat with two bedrooms and 2.5 baths listed for $729,000 before closing at $765,000. There is a four-way tie for second place, with City Vista in Mount Vernon Triangle, Muse in Old Town Alexandria, Somerset House in Chevy Chase, and The Columbia in the West End each tallying three sales.

Three of the buildings earned additional spotlights. Muse had the highest overall sale with Unit #505 closing at $3,000,000, as well as Unit #601 capturing the top price per square foot at $1,172.37 (total price $1,986,000), and Unit #503 nabbing the sixth-highest list to sales at 101.62 percent (total price $2,068,000). Unit #517 at The Columbia was the fifth-highest sale for the month at $1,534,076 and the third-highest list to sales at 102.61 percent. Unit #1007 at Somerset House was the third-highest overall sale at $1,800,000 while Unit #1002 at the same address captured the sixth-highest price per sq. ft. at $794.06 (total price $1,550,000).

Four buildings tied for third place with two sales each: Chase Point in Friendship Heights, Watergate in Foggy Bottom, The Edgemoor in Bethesda, and Union Row in the U Street Corridor. Of this grouping, the iconic Watergate garnered additional accolades, with the super-sized Unit #101/102 taking home the second-highest sales price as well as the fourth-highest list to sales ratio at 102.27 percent. The 4,235 sq. ft. cooperative with two levels, five bedrooms, and five full and two half-baths, was originally listed at $2,249,000 before closing at $2,300,000. Three buildings had one sale each: 1661 Crescent Place in Adams Morgan, Atrium in Rosslyn, and the ever popular Wooster and Mercer Lofts, also in Rosslyn.
