City Center - Washington DC's Hottest New Development

More than simply a place to live, City Center DC offers a fully immersive community experience in the heart of Washington, DC. Spanning five city blocks in the Mount Vernon Triangle, the outdoor mall and mixed-use complex is home to two 12-story condo towers totaling 215 residences, along with luxury apartment rentals, office buildings, a hotel, a 1.5-acre park, wide walking avenues, and more than 40 upscale retailers and restaurants.

There were no new listings in January but there was still plenty of activity at City Center. The highest priced available condo is Unit #1006, priced at $1,535,000. With 1,460 square feet of living space, this two-bedroom, two-bath corner apartment is open and airy with spectacular views from giant wraparound windows, along with multiple balconies. Custom wall treatments and a wall-hugging Euro-style kitchen add to the appeal.

Also still active is Unit #905. Listed at $679,000, the 766 square foot flat with one bedroom and one bath maximizes its floor space with tasteful designer wall coverings, and a built-in bed and night tables from Earnesto Santalla. Other perks include the private balcony, a desk cubby, open gourmet kitchen, and secure parking.

Kicking off the New Year with a price reduction, Unit #907 first listed in December at $679,900 but is now available for $669,000 representing a $10K discount. The stylish condo has one bedroom, one bath, and a 714 square foot layout. Included is a full length balcony, white oak floors, and a built-in workstation. The unobtrusive, sleek and open kitchen features Molteni cabinetry, built-in Bosch appliances, and white stone counters.

Unit #607 also sports a new cut, from $685,850 all the way down to $647,000. That is a substantial $38,850 reduction! The one-bedroom apartment with one bath and a 773 square foot L-shaped layout overlooks lovely interior courtyards as well as a Zen-like water feature. The modern open kitchen leaves plenty of space in the open living and dining areas. There are also wide-plank floors, large windows, plenty of closet space, and secure parking.

Unit #912 is back on the market again, this time with a lower asking price of $584,950. The 635 square foot apartment had previously been listed at $599,995. Features include one bedroom, one bath, attractive hardwood floors, and a two-tone Foster + Partners open kitchen with white Caesarstone counters and bleached wood cabinetry. A sunny balcony is the perfect spot for a cup of morning tea or coffee.

There were multiple sales in January, beginning with Unit #702. The two-bedroom corner residence with two baths had been offered at $1,425,000 and ultimately closed at $1,380,000. The 1,340 square foot condo has a very roomy Great Room concept with plenty of space for relaxation and dining, along with a Foster + Partners designed glossy white kitchen that fits neatly along one wall.

Unit #803 sold for $652,500 after listing for $688,000. The one-bedroom flat with 787 square feet of interior space has an open floorplan, wide-plank floors, and a private terrace. Add a gourmet kitchen with Molteni cabinetry, panelized Bosch appliances, Corian counters and breakfast bar, a built-in desk nook, and secure parking.

The final sale for the month is Unit #908, closing at $640,000 after listing for $714,999. The roomy 860 square foot apartment features one large bedroom, 1.5 baths, wide-plank floors, a completely open gourmet kitchen and a fun desk cubby. A bank of full height windows offers terrific city views, as well as inviting natural light inside.

Described by the New York Times as a modern day Rockefeller Center in Downtown DC, City Center is ideally close to Washington’s landmarks, museums, theaters, and halls of political power. Condo residents enjoy staffed lobbies in each of condo towers, including concierge service, and doormen. There are two roof parks, lovely interior terraced courtyards, a fitness center, yoga studio, wine storage, a bar lounge, community rooms, and business centers.
