Market Leaders | Highest Sales Prices | October 2018

The legendary Watergate complex in Foggy Bottom was home to the highest sales price in October. Unit #1206/1207 is a newly renovated residence that combined two apartments into one, resulting in 3,007 square feet of living space, a luxurious master suite and an elongated private balcony with stunning views of the Potomac River. The closing price was $3,900,000 at $1,297 per square foot.

Coming in second was Unit #8C at 3303 Water Street in Georgetown’s waterfront. The modern duplex closed at an even $3 million, with 2-beds, 2-baths, a master suite and loft with terrace. Third on our max sales list is Unit #1003, a spacious 3,021 square foot residence at Somerset House in Chevy Chase. The 2-bed, 2.5-bath condo with a large balcony and bonus room sold for $2,300,000.

Next is Unit #PH20 at VIO on The Wharf in the Southwest Waterfront. This fabulous white-on-white penthouse with 1,560 square feet of space and a private rooftop terrace closed for $1,606,400. Fifth on the list is #504 at The Columbia with a closing price of $1,310,000. The 2-bed, 2-bath residence in this historic West End complex has wide-plank floors, a gourmet kitchen and a large private terrace with panoramic views. Last but not least is Unit #308 at Landmark Lofts at Senate Square on the Hill: a restored and renovated former convent built in 1874. This handsome 2-bed, 2.5 residence sold for $1,080,000, with original exposed brick and hardwood floors plus new modern features like the gourmet kitchen.
