Market Leaders | Most Units Sold | May 2019

The Atrium in Arlington’s popular Rosslyn neighborhood had eight sales in May, far outpacing our other luxury buildings. The glass and steel tower is a block from the Metro, close to the Potomac River and across the Key Bridge from Georgetown. Among the closings was Unit #1310, a spectacular duplex in the sky with 3-bedrooms, 3.5-baths and 4,300 square feet of living space. The closing price was $2,097,500.

There were two buildings with four sales each: Clara Barton is in Washington’s Penn Quarter, offering hotel-style living with an array of full-service amenities. The Adagio is located in Bethesda, steps from all the great shops and restaurants along the Wisconsin Avenue Corridor. Madrigal Lofts and City Vista in Mount Vernon had three sales each.

The full-service Ritz-Carlton West End also had three sales including Unit #PH3A. The duplex penthouse with a giant private roof deck was the highest sale in May at $3.5 million. Finally, there were five buildings with two sales each: 22 West in the West End, 2501 M in West End, 555 Mass in Mount Vernon, Dumbarton Place in Dupont Circle and Turnberry Tower in Rosslyn. One of the two closings at Turnberry was #PH2109, a fabulous penthouse with direct views of the Potomac from a wraparound balcony. The bird’s nest home sold for $2.6 million.
