The highest price per square foot honors in November also happens to be the highest priced sale overall. Unit #PH2D at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown overlooking the Potomac River in Georgetown has an expansive 4,413 square foot floorplan and sold for $6.5 million, translating to a robust $1,472.92 per square foot. The penthouse residence has 4-bedrooms, 4.5-baths and stunning views of the river and landmarks from its large private roof deck. The second place price for per foot as well as sales amount, goes to Unit #709 at VIO at The Wharf in the Southwest Waterfront. With 3-bedrooms and 2.5-baths, the 1,985 square foot flat sold for $2,850,000 or $1,435.77 per square foot. The recently build luxury building is perched right over boats slips, and the corner apartment with private elevator access has giant window walls and a large private balcony boasting incredible views of the Washington Channel.

Third place honors go to Unit #4 at the Wormley School in Georgetown. The modern renovation of a historic schoolhouse classic features 2-bedrooms, 2-baths, an office, a beautiful designer kitchen, 2,200 square feet of interior space plus a private terrace. The $2.8 million sales price translates to $1,272.73 per square foot. It also happened to be the fourth-highest overall sale in November. Unit #67 at Westlight in the West End is a very modern white-on-white luxury flat with 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,023 square feet of living space. The sales price of $1,120,000 equals $1,094.82 for this highly attractive apartment with its giant windows and recessed Euro-style kitchen.

Unit #TS01 at Turnberry Tower in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood has the second-highest overall sales price at $4,750,000 and the fifth-highest metric price at $1,068.14 per square foot. The 4,447 square foot tower suite penthouse was reconceived by architect Salo Levinas and presents showcase style modern luxury with multiple private outdoor spaces and truly stunning views of the Potomac River. Rounding out an impressive group is Unit #901 at Somerset House in Friendship Heights’ gated Park Somerset community. This was the month’s third-highest sales price at $3,715,000 and sixth-highest per square foot at $1,025.39. The 3-bedroom, 4-bath apartment is the picture of elegance with 3,623 square feet of interior space that includes a family room, library, a huge kitchen, thick crown molding and luxurious baths.
